---- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ----

  • The new LeWL WindLogger has been manufactured since 2008. We have sold thousands of these little wind data loggers all over the world and they have an excellent reputation for their stability, accuracy and endurance.

The new WindLogger has been re-designed with major enhancements, thanks to the small wind enthusiastic community. We have listened to their feedback and have made several improvements: Simpler than ever installation, just plug the Pro-D anemometer into the internal 6P4C connector. If you use any other type of anemometer, that is ok too. You can connect it directly to its internal sensor input connection block. Automatic anemometer detection system. The new WindLogger will let you know if there's an anemometer connected and working before leaving site.

    Option for external temperature probe

    Built-in battery monitor

You will require 2 x batteries per data logger as these are not included. The Windlogger is designed to work with alkaline type C cells.
Outstanding battery life up to 1 year at 1 minute logging interval or 2 years at 10 minutes intervals

Designed in Scotland : Manufactured in the UK
Please Note: Price does not include VAT. For UK orders VAT is calculated at checkout. International orders are not subject to VAT.

Monitoring Wind for Wind Power Plant Usage

The wind gauge is working very well. Our trainees built a 10-meter-high steel tower, and the measuring equipment has been hanging there and operating reliably for a year. The measurements provided us with the information we needed. We are now changing the battery for the first time after a year, which is also great.

Review left on the WindLogger with 2 anemometers & wind Vane product, by Bram Peirs, "Wind projects"

We purchased Lewl Windlogger for our projects after technical support professionally explained what the error margin of the standard anemometer is compared to a calibrated one. We are happy with the product and want to order more units.

Review left on the WindLogger product, by Franko Arenas Díaz, "Atacama Desert"

Studying the aerosol/particulate material deposition for Atacama Desert, we set a west-east transect of dust traps starting close to the Pacific Ocean until the Andes Cordillera. To study the atmospheric deposition and its temporal-spatial dynamics we purchased 3 wind trackers close to the dust traps so we analyse the wind speed and direction. Excellent customer support with our first international purchase out of Chile.

Review left on the WindLogger with 2 anemometers & wind Vane product, by Simone Moras, "DEPARTMEN...

Our project aims to forecast methane emissions from lakes, crucial greenhouse gas sources. Understanding lake hydrodynamics, including factors like wind speed and its direction is essential. High-frequency wind speed data is vital due to wind's significant impact on lake hydrodynamics. The chosen kit is supplying valuable data for our study. The lake is situated in an agricultural area and is free from major obstacles like trees that could interfere with wind speed measurements.

Q: Can it also measure rpms from the turbine as well as voltages and currents?

A: Hello, yes but you will need the right interface. For example a current transducer CT to replicate the frequency of the wind generator and then a frequency to pulse digital converter. Or you can use a www.windcrane.com unit with just a CT.
